Dear Mr Norris,
I have been a customer for many years. The shop is always excellent, and your staff helpful.
A recent visit with a view to a rod change caused me to chat to John Stephenson who I had never met before. John was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I was unsure, needing to try the product (Sage switch rod) size/line etc. John suggested that I might borrow his own rod and two reels of Rio lines to try them out. I collected them from his home in Keswick that evening, returning them the following evening.
The experience was really useful demonstrating that I would probably need a bigger rod for my fishing at Cockermouth.
John is a really personable young man and his generosity and kindness to me was exceptional, rare in retailing in recent times. He also demonstrated a huge love of his job and great allegiance to John Norris Ltd.
I have yet to make my purchase but when I do it will be from your shop as usual, but particularly as a token of my gratitude and indebtedness to John.
As a bonus I caught a lovely grilse whilst using John's gear!
