  1. Dear Mr Norris,

     

    I have been a customer for many years. The shop is always excellent, and your staff helpful.

    A recent visit with a view to a rod change caused me to chat to John Stephenson who I had never met before. John was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I was unsure, needing to try the product (Sage switch rod) size/line etc. John suggested that I might borrow his own rod and two reels of Rio lines to try them out. I collected them from his home in Keswick that evening, returning them the following evening.

     

    The experience was really useful demonstrating that I would probably need a bigger rod for my fishing at Cockermouth.

     

    John is a really personable young man and his generosity and kindness to me was exceptional, rare in retailing in recent times. He also demonstrated a huge love of his job and great allegiance to John Norris Ltd.

     

    I have yet to make my purchase but when I do it will be from your shop as usual, but particularly as a token of my gratitude and indebtedness to John.

     

    As a bonus I caught a lovely grilse whilst using John's gear!

    Louise and I recently called into the shop after nearly three weeks in the far North West. We were late in the day and your lovely staff were looking forward to going home at 4:30.

     

    We picked up a few flies and a small Fishpond boat bag. I have been looking to replace my #6 fly rod and your two excellent staff showed me what ex demos you had, It’s a lovely Winston !

     

    A deal was done on the Guideline #6 the following day as we drove home after stay at Warwick Hall.

     

    I was so delighted with the Guideline rod you sold me last year, so I had no hesitation on the #6.

     

    What was so lovely was the general good nature of your wonderful staff and their helpfulness.

     

    Please thank them. It is why I return to your great shop year after year, the 1st time being nearly 45 years ago.

    I was in the shop yesterday and would just like to email and say the experience I had was amazing. All staff were friendly and the stock was amazing. We will definitely be back over to the shop in future. I've left this review on trust pilot however just wanted to send u guys it too.

     

    Amazing shop and staff. I travelled from the north east around 2-hour journey to try some waders on I had seen online. I spoke to a guy called John s in there, he couldn't have been more helpful. Finding sizes to fit me in the boots and giving a deal on the set I couldn't pass up. Very friendly even if you're a Newby, any knowledge you need, no judgement. Will 100% be back to the shop.

    I ordered my Hoggs of Fife Ladies Glencoe Waterproof Trek boots yesterday afternoon.

     

    The ordering process is incredibly quick and easy, especially as my details were stored in your system.

     

    Delivery of these lovely boots was made within 24 hours of me placing the order.

     

    A friendly efficient DPD driver delivered them, a moment ago, with care and a smile on his face.

     

    The boots themselves look lovely and hopefully will allow me many hours of walking over my beloved moors.
