A fly line, zipping over the head of fish is often enough to spook them. This is especially true where clear water and a smooth surface exist. For success now, your fly needs to land like thistledown and drift naturally for longer. A torrent of complex currents where trout might be holding in slack areas is another situation that demands longer drifts and this is where the Super Dry excels best as extra slack is easily realized when extra tippet is included. By tailoring the leader to your own needs the Super Dry leader is designed to be ultra versatile. Simply knot on a tippet ring then add tippet lengths of your own designs. Conversely, the 80cm tip section can be shortened, allowing you to construct a more elaborate leader that gradually steps down in diameter. In all this leader is built for tactile, technical fishing to give you optimum performance in the most testing of conditions.

Taper profile

The leader consists of; Butt – 44% (200 cm / 6.6 ft), Taper – 39% (177 cm / 5.6 ft), Tip – 17% (80 cm / 2.8 ft) The butt section is 0.50 mm (0.020 in) which is a versatile dimension for all line weight ratings. This slightly finer butt and taper ensure a perfect balance of speed and turnover that facilitates controlling required slack in the tippet. Conversely, faster tip speed ensures a ‘straight line’ delivery where it is needed on stillwaters for example.

RETURNS

We will gladly exchange or refund any unused goods if you return them to us in a saleable condition within 90 days of receipt. Simply post your goods back to us in an unused condition, in their original packaging with any labels attached, together with a copy of your invoice and a covering letter explaining your requirements.
