Dog and Fields’ Reluctant Retriever Dummy is an innovative new twist on the snack dummy. This is a dummy that not only encourages the most reluctant of retrievers, but also helps you transition your dog right the way through the process of phasing out the treats/snacks altogether.

This dummy is the size of a small puppy dummy, without having the added distraction of toggles, and with the addition of a zip up compartment with removable foam insert. The twin colour was, displayed with a white and black chequered design to enhance visibility and visual stimulation.

How to use:

Remove the foam insert and fill with your dogs favourite food or treats.
The added attraction of the food inside will encourage your dog to take a more inclined interest in the dummy
Once your dog is confidently retrieving the dummy, remove the food and replace the foam insert – the dummy will still hold the smell of your dogs food.
With the added food/treat scent your dog will now resort to retrieving the dummy just as he/she had done when food was precent.
Once your dog has become confident in retrieving the “scenty” dummy you can wash it or use a fresh unused Reluctant Retriever Dummy. It’s important at this stage to continue using the same type of dummy to maintain continuity and association.
You dog should now be able to retrieve the none-foody, none-scenty dummy for a consistent amount of time.
You should now be ready to transition your dog onto any other canvas dummy article you choose. After all, your dog has now, over time been used to retrieving the canvas Reluctant Retriever Dummy without issue since transitioning away from food or scent.

Please advise when placing your order via the web or phone if it would be more convenient to leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour, we can pass these instruction onto the couriers, this would be done at your own risk.

RETURNS

We will gladly exchange or refund any unused goods if you return them to us in a saleable condition within 90 days of receipt. Simply post your goods back to us in an unused condition, in their original packaging with any labels attached, together with a copy of your invoice and a covering letter explaining your requirements, the goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse.
