  • Description

This lightweight Guideline ULBC backpack is roomy, comfortable and packed with enough features for a long day by the water or a minimalistic multi-day fishing trip. The backpack is designed to let you fish actively throughout a full day without taking the pack off, while keeping all your fishing necessities easy accessible. It has a stiffened 3D back mesh panel for increased ventilation and comfortable multi density layered shoulder straps for best-in-class carry-comfort. They also feature an adjustable chest strap with an emergency whistle, docking stations for your forceps and attachment loops. The detachable add-on straps are useful when using any of Guideline's waist bags mounted on your chest for extra volume.

A waist strap keeps your backpack in place in all terrain, and the waist strap is easily tucked away not to interfere with your shooting line when fishing. The big main compartment has a secure roll-top closure and can be closed at the top or compressed and tightened along each side with straps. On the front you will first find a spacious zippered pocket with a key-clip hanger inside but also a deep and elastic mesh pocket. This is ideal for keeping your small net or other gear easy accessible, but it’s also perfect for keeping wet gear away from the main compartment. It also has dual elastic tuck-away rod tube fasteners inside the zipped front pocket and elastic mesh wand pockets, which are easily operated even with the backpack on. It also boosts an attachment system for mounting extra equipment. When using this pack in combination with the ULBC Waistbag (sold separately), the belt from the waist bag can be detached and used to mount a packraft or a tent on top of the backpack.

The Guideline ULBC Daypack is part of Guideline's Ultra Light Back Country concept, which allows you to explore deeper into the unreachable. With smart weight-and-space-saving solutions, this product line is the given choice for the fly angler who wants to reach the best waters, where no roads go. To achieve their environmental goals and to be ‘Clean All The Way’ the ULBC Daypack 35 is made of bluesign® and OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics and also has a PFAS-free water resistant impregnation (DWR).

FITTING GUIDE AND ADVICE

Taking accurate body measurements is one of the keys to a great fit; all you need is a tape measure.
While it's easiest to have someone else take your measurements, you can also do it yourself.
Stand in front of a mirror to make sure you have the tape measure in the right position. Ideally, you should be measured wearing only your underwear or close fitting clothing.
Because the body is made of soft tissue, it can be a bit difficult to know exactly how tight to pull the tape around the body.
The tape should be a bit snug, but not tight-it should not "dig in" or make an indentation in the body. It should not be loose, either! Just wrap the tape around the area of the body being measured and hold it in place. You should be able to put a finger behind the tape, but no more than that.
To measure the length of the foot, stand with your back against a wall and put the foot so the heel touches the wall. Then take a measurement at the position of your longest toe. Do this with a bare foot.
Please note! All measurements are presented in centimeters and are measures of your own body, not the garment.
These charts are only a guide to find the size you need. Trying them on, in real life, is always the best way to find a perfect fit.
The fit of fishing clothing is not only about size of your body. It also comes down to personal preferences of how loose or slim you want them.
If you often fish during the cold weather season and have the need for extra base and fleece-layers, remember to allow for this when you choosing your  size.
