Sondergaard Stripping Baskets are the result of a thoughtful combination of lightweight materials, ergonomic design, and real fly fishing functionality. These comfortable and easy-to-use baskets feature flexible silicone posts that prevent line tangles and keep your line organized, while allowing it to shoot effortlessly with minimal resistance. The Belly Boat model is the largest basket in the series and specially designed to be used on top of the mesh line holders that are found on float tubes and other water crafts. The flexible silicone posts keep your line coils well separated and organized of effortless line release when casting.

The baskets are constructed from high-density, closed-cell foam, chosen for its low water absorption, buoyancy, and structural integrity. Built-in drain holes prevent water buildup, keeping the basket light and functional even in surf or rain. Most models also include a molded rod rest for hands-free rigging or fly changes.

An adjustable, Velcro-fitted belt secures the basket in place, and the ergonomic tray contours naturally to the body, allowing freedom of movement while wading or casting. The half-open design supports efficient line handling and quick pickup, especially in gusty conditions or when a fast recast is needed.

The silicone posts are tuned to hold modern shooting lines securely without causing damage. They flex under pressure and return to shape, offering the right balance between control and release. By keeping the line elevated and away from sharp rocks, seaweed, or gear, the basket helps protect the coating and maintain the line’s performance over time and extends its life span.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PARCEL?

All goods despatched via courier. There are no deliveries on Saturday and Sunday but we can arrange a Saturday delivery for an additional cost - please call our team on 01768 864211 (Monday-Friday) for further information.

Please advise when placing your order via the web or phone if it would be more convenient to leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour, we can pass these instruction onto the couriers, this would be done at your own risk.

We deliver to addresses in the UK Mainland, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle Of Man, Guernsey and Jersey.

Postage/Packaging will be charged on all deliveries.

OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS

We can only deliver to UK Mainland, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland at the moment. We apologise for any disappointment caused.

RETURNS

We will gladly exchange or refund any unused goods if you return them to us in a saleable condition within 90 days of receipt. Simply post your goods back to us in an unused condition, in their original packaging with any labels attached, together with a copy of your invoice and a covering letter explaining your requirements.
