Following two-and-a-half years of research and development, Guideline's new pinnacle series of fly reels has been optimised to deliver application-specific, specialty performance for the modern migratory angler. Their contemporary Scandinavian design language evolves further in the Scandi fly reels, featuring more organic, softer curves in the overall aesthetic. Unparalleled 3D CNC machining delivers faceted spoke surfacing and arm profiling, which combine with a restrained dual-anodised palette to redefine design elegance.

Strategic weight minimisation
High-precision manufacturing tolerances have been vastly improved throughout the Scandi reels, delivering a new level of maximum braking power to Guideline's portfolio. Narrow, deeper, large-arbour spools with vertical walls accommodate the wider array of thicker-profiled modern shooting heads and prevent backing stack during intense fish fights. Strategic weight minimisation delivers pre-determined, accurately targeted lighter weights for counterbalancing modern single hand, switch and two-handed rods.

High torque titanium drag systems
Guideline's proprietary, precision-tolerance braking systems combine titanium discs and carbon friction plates to deliver maximum strength with unprecedented longevity. 720° degrees of pre-set drag settings provides a purposeful range of drag pressure for more accurate sensitivity and pressure application, preventing excessive tension too quickly during the critical phase of the fight.

To eliminate failures in high-torque battles, a triple-stabilised core has been implemented for zero axial and radial run-out. Pre-loaded, press-fit bearings ensure perfect compatibility between spools and frames, preventing spool deflection and spool-to-frame contact. Twelve stainless steel compression springs engage with the titanium drag discs and carbon friction plates, ensuring a smoother, more consistent, sealed drag system capable of reaching unprecedented maximum torque ratings.

Extensive range & models
The Scandi range of fly reels is available in four different models that cover most types of migratory fishing — from single-hand rods in line weights #6–8, to switch and heavy double-hand rods rated for lines #11–13. They come in two colour-ways: Black with Bronze trim, and Black with Blue trim. All Scandi reels are delivered with left-hand retrieve as standard, but they are fully interchangeable and can easily be switched to right-hand retrieve.

To eliminate any guesswork regarding the line capacity of the Scandi fly reels, they’ve engraved detailed information on the inside of the reel foot. This includes specifications for backing, shooting line, and shooting head. Each reel comes in a soft yet durable neoprene pouch, featuring a structured grey exterior with black details and a bright Guideline orange interior.

RETURNS

We will gladly exchange or refund any unused goods if you return them to us in a saleable condition within 90 days of receipt. Simply post your goods back to us in an unused condition, in their original packaging with any labels attached, together with a copy of your invoice and a covering letter explaining your requirements, the goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse.
