Hardy Tactus Nymphing Single Handed Fly Rod

Engineered for today’s most advanced European-style nymphing techniques, the Hardy Tactus Nymphing Rods redefine contact and control. Each rod combines Hardy’s Sintrix FLT construction with specialised tapers to create exceptional lightness, sensitivity, and stability across extended lengths. A powerful butt section provides authority over large fish, while a supple, high-recovery tip ensures accurate presentation of lightweight nymph rigs. Each rod is supplied with two interchangeable tips, allowing you to perfectly match your rod to the application at hand. The traditional tubular carbon tip offers the familiar feel and load preferred when casting heavier flies or multiple-fly rigs—providing appropriate control for those heavier loads. For lighter flies and finer leaders, the solid nano-carbon tip offers unmatched sensitivity and loading, making light flies easier to cast and control on delicate leaders. Together, these tips make the Tactus Nymphing series the most versatile nymphing tools Hardy has ever produced—lightweight, balanced, and responsive, with the strength to subdue large fish and the shock absorption to protect the finest tippets.

• Two-tip system: tubular carbon for heavier rigs; solid nano-carbon for light flies and fine leaders
• Extended lengths (10 ft +) maximise reach and drift control
• Sintrix FLT resin produces extreme lightness without sacrificing strength
• Down-locking reel seat optimises balance for long- rod applications
• Low stripping guide reduces line sag and maintains direct contact
• Unground blank surface prevents monofilament leaders from sticking
• Double-leg snake guides in the tip reduce leader wrap and enhance stability
• High-recovery action for precise casting and sensitivity
• Soft tips for maximum shock absorption and tippet protection
