Just thought I'd let you know, I finally got out and about with the new Shakey Expidition rod, reel and J.Norris pro2 line. It is a great set up, casts a line for miles and is like a rod of 10 times its price in the feel of it. Was hooked into a salmon for a few seconds on the Nith last weekend, wow, what a brief experience! Had a few rainbows on a stocked loch on it, just to test out. End of the month, I will be saltwater fly fishing with it up north.

I always wanted to know something, what kind of knot did you use to attach the backing to the fly line? It surely isn't just a normal nail knot? Looks far more substantial.

Also, I hope you finally received the broken reel spool I sent back a few weeks now.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to you all for your excellent customer service. I wanted the Barbour Ladies Blizzard jacket in black for Christmas, only to find they were sold out in my size, after contacting every Barbour shop in the country non existed! On receiving the email from you saying they had been discontinued i gave up. Then last night a lady rang from your shop saying one had come in and she would send it express delivery.

I'd just like to thank your team for a marvellous service. Having been let down by another company who kept me waiting a fortnight before admitting the coat was not in stock, I ordered a Seeland Scott jacket from you at about 2.30pm on 23/12/2010. I was warned that it was most unlikely to be delivered before Christmas however it was sent. Imagine my surprise and delight when it arrived at 11.30am the next day, Christmas Eve. The bonus of being half price was an extra Christmas present - we might yet order a second one!
