  • Description

The Guideline LPX Predator is a speciality rod series for large predatory fish with a well-balanced power to be a superb casting rod that doesn’t fatigue the angler during long hours. The action is fast but with a flex and curve that lets you cast and fish big flies with ease. They feature a high quality cork grip with extra length and a reinforced foam front for extra durability, same as on Guideline's Coastal rods. The whole rod speaks ruggedness, with only high quality components and extra large stripper guides if a tangle needs to pass through. On the heavier line weights they've even put classic snake guides for extra strength. Available in five different models to cover fishing from perch and smaller predators to big pike and zander in big waters and heavy conditions.

    LPX Predator 9´ #5 and #6.
These are the lightest offerings in the series and the perfect tools for perch, bass and other smaller predators in small to medium waters. Still very potent rods that delivers bulky flies and poppers with authority.

    LPX Predator 9´ #7, #8 and #9.
The 9´ #7 is a delicate rod for lighter pike fishing with slim flies, or when you need to cast bigger flies for perch, bass and pikeperch. The 9´ #8 and #9 are the powerhouse rods for big fish, big flies and when conditions get rough. For extra stability these rods are fitted with classic snake rings.

In a unidirectional non-woven carbon pattern, all fibres run in a single, parallel direction ensuring maximum strength lengthwise. M4.0 ™ is the resin they use in this type of blank construction. The properties of this resin fill the gaps in the carbon cloth more effective than normal resins and has greater strength. It also decreases the overall need for resin in blank construction. Resulting in lighter rods than ever before.

      FITTING GUIDE AND ADVICE

Taking accurate body measurements is one of the keys to a great fit; all you need is a tape measure.
While it's easiest to have someone else take your measurements, you can also do it yourself.
Stand in front of a mirror to make sure you have the tape measure in the right position. Ideally, you should be measured wearing only your underwear or close fitting clothing.
Because the body is made of soft tissue, it can be a bit difficult to know exactly how tight to pull the tape around the body.
The tape should be a bit snug, but not tight-it should not "dig in" or make an indentation in the body. It should not be loose, either! Just wrap the tape around the area of the body being measured and hold it in place. You should be able to put a finger behind the tape, but no more than that.
To measure the length of the foot, stand with your back against a wall and put the foot so the heel touches the wall. Then take a measurement at the position of your longest toe. Do this with a bare foot.
Please note! All measurements are presented in centimeters and are measures of your own body, not the garment.
These charts are only a guide to find the size you need. Trying them on, in real life, is always the best way to find a perfect fit.
The fit of fishing clothing is not only about size of your body. It also comes down to personal preferences of how loose or slim you want them.
If you often fish during the cold weather season and have the need for extra base and fleece-layers, remember to allow for this when you choosing your  size.
