Fishing rods are always big sellers at John Norris, and no matter what sort of fishing rods you're looking at, you'll be able to find the perfect one.
You'll need to determine what type of fishing your new fishing rod is for. You won't want to be looking at sea fishing rods if you're fishing for salmon or trout.
The size of the fishing rods you're looking at will be partly determined by where you're going to fish. There's no point in looking at long fishing rods, if you're going to be sat on the riverbank surrounded by trees.
You might already know what sort of material the fishing rods you want to look at are made from. Perhaps you'll want to see carbon fibre, bamboo, graphite or fibreglass fishing rods, and see whether they're what you need.
How often you fish can play a large part in deciding which fishing rods should be on your list. You won't want to buy an expensive rod and hardly ever use it, and you won't want to economise and buy one of the cheaper fishing rods if you're going to be fishing several times a week all year round.
Prices of fishing rods vary considerably, and for the uninitiated, it can seem like there's very little difference between one of the cheaper fishing rods, and the most expensive fishing rods. If you're not sure what you should be looking for, or exactly what you need, then you might want to seek the advice of a more accomplished angler, or do some research beforehand.
The comfort and ease of the fishing rods you're looking at is an important consideration. If you're going to be using this new rod as often as you can, then you'll want it to be comfortable. Whilst many fishing rods might be easy to assemble and take apart in the shop, some will be much easier, or harder, once your hands are cold and wet, or in the dark.
No matter which of the John Norris fishing rods you choose, you'll want value for money. If you're looking for a versatile rod to cover all of your fishing trips, or a specialist rod that won't be used very often, then money will be less important than having the right fishing rods. For others who are looking for an inexpensive second or spare rod, or are just getting started, then one of the cheaper fishing rods might be most appropriate.
